Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities For Bookkeeper
- Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense reimbursements, ensuring accuracy and timely posting.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and internal ledgers on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare and process vendor invoices, monitor aging reports, and coordinate with procurement to validate purchase orders.
- Maintain the general ledger, update chart of accounts, and support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
- Generate financial statements, trial balances, and custom reports for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
- Manage cash flow forecasts, track cash receipts, and assist in budgeting activities for the finance department.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and relevant tax regulations; support audit preparation and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including HR, Operations, and Legal, to streamline financial workflows and improve data integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive bookkeeping experience, preferably within a fast‑paced technology or SaaS environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, or Oracle Financials; advanced Excel skills required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles, accounts payable/receivable processes, and payroll administration.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
Desired Skills
- Experience with automated expense management tools (e.g., Concur, Expensify).
- Familiarity with SaaS revenue recognition and subscription billing models.
- Knowledge of tax filing requirements for multiple jurisdictions.
- Ability to develop and improve standard operating procedures for financial processes.
- Certification such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.
