Key Responsibilities
Key Responsiblities For "Cloud Support Engineer"
- Provide tier‑2 and tier‑3 technical support for AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and networking components, ensuring timely resolution of customer issues.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex problems by analyzing logs, metrics, and system behavior across multiple cloud environments.
- Collaborate with product engineering, development, and senior support teams to reproduce bugs, develop work‑arounds, and drive long‑term fixes.
- Create and maintain detailed case documentation, knowledge‑base articles, and internal runbooks to improve team efficiency and customer self‑service.
- Participate in on‑call rotation, responding to high‑severity incidents and contributing to post‑mortem analyses and root‑cause reviews.
- Advocate for customers by providing feedback to product teams on usability, performance, and feature gaps.
- Assist customers with best‑practice architecture design, cost‑optimization, security hardening, and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience supporting cloud platforms, virtualization, or large‑scale distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix administration, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN), and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret logs, trace packets, and use diagnostic tools (e.g., CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Wireshark).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer‑centric mindset and the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global, distributed team in a fast‑paced environment.

Desired Skills
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or equivalent.
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform).
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
- Knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI‑DSS) and implementing security controls in cloud environments.
- Prior exposure to incident management processes (ITIL, SRE) and continuous improvement practices.

Compensation & Benefits
- Annual base salary range: $115,000 to $150,000, depending on experience and location (Seattle, WA).
