Key Responsiblities For Cybersecurity Analyst
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) platforms to identify, investigate, and respond to potential threats and anomalies.
- Conduct detailed analysis of alerts, logs, and network traffic to determine the scope, impact, and root cause of security incidents.
- Develop and maintain incident response playbooks, ensuring rapid containment, eradication, and recovery actions.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts with engineering and operations teams.
- Generate regular security posture reports, metrics, and executive summaries for leadership review.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement security controls, hardening guidelines, and best practices.
- Participate in threat hunting initiatives, leveraging threat intelligence feeds and advanced analytics.
- Assist in the design and execution of security awareness training and phishing simulation programs.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of security tools, processes, and policies.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in security operations, incident response, or threat analysis.
- Proficiency with SIEM solutions (e.g., Azure Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint detection platforms.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
- Experience with scripting or automation languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Relevant certifications preferred (CISSP, CISM, GSEC, or CompTIA Security+).
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Desired Skills
- Knowledge of cloud security architectures, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Experience with forensic tools and memory analysis.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging threats.

Compensation & Benefits
- Annual base salary range: $115,000 to $150,000, dependent on experience and location.
