Key Responsibilities
Key Responsiblities For Education Content Reviewer

- Review and evaluate educational content submissions—including videos, articles, quizzes, and interactive modules—for accuracy, relevance, and alignment with Khan Academy’s curriculum standards.
- Ensure that all materials comply with internal quality guidelines, copyright policies, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to content creators and collaborate with subject‑matter experts to resolve discrepancies or gaps.
- Flag and report any content that contains misinformation, bias, or inappropriate language, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed audit logs and documentation of review decisions to support transparency and continuous improvement.
- Participate in cross‑functional meetings with product, design, and engineering teams to refine content workflows and enhance the learner experience.
- Contribute to the development and updating of review rubrics, style guides, and best‑practice documentation.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience reviewing or developing educational content for digital platforms.
- Strong command of K‑12 curriculum standards in at least one major subject area (e.g., mathematics, science, language arts).
- Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail and consistency.
- Demonstrated ability to assess content for factual accuracy, pedagogical soundness, and cultural sensitivity.
- Proficiency with learning management systems, content authoring tools, and basic data‑tracking software.

Desired Skills

- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and inclusive instructional design practices.
- Experience using analytics to gauge content effectiveness and learner outcomes.
- Knowledge of copyright law and fair‑use considerations in educational media.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, remote‑first environment.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus, especially in Spanish, Hindi, or Arabic.

Compensation & Benefits

- Annual base salary range: $78,000 to $95,000, dependent on experience and location (San Francisco Bay Area market).
