Key Responsibilities For "Front-End Engineer"
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance web interfaces for Google’s consumer and enterprise products using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into functional, responsive, and accessible code while adhering to Google’s design system and performance standards.
- Optimize front‑end performance, implement best practices for loading speed, and conduct thorough testing (unit, integration, and end‑to‑end).
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to define feature requirements and deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to shared libraries and component repositories.
- Stay current with emerging web technologies, accessibility standards, and industry trends, and propose improvements to existing architectures.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience building complex, user‑facing web applications.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (including Flexbox and Grid), and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong experience with at least one major front‑end framework (React, Angular, or Vue) and modern build tools (Webpack, Babel, npm/Yarn).
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, modular, and testable code with a focus on performance and accessibility (WCAG 2.1).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to cross‑functional teams.

Desired Skills
- Experience with Google’s Material Design system or similar design frameworks.
- Knowledge of server‑side rendering, progressive web apps, and service workers.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of GraphQL or RESTful API integration.
- Contributions to open‑source projects or a strong personal portfolio of web applications.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $140,000 – $200,000 annually, depending on experience and location.
