The Junior Data Scientist (Work‑From‑Home) role joins a diverse, high‑impact team focused on building scalable analytics solutions for Google Cloud and consumer products.

Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large, heterogeneous data sets from internal and external sources.
- Develop and validate statistical models and machine learning algorithms to support product improvements and business decisions.
- Create clear, reproducible data pipelines using Python, SQL, and cloud‑based tools (BigQuery, Dataflow).
- Produce visualizations, dashboards, and concise reports that translate technical findings into actionable insights for cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior data scientists, engineers, and product managers to define problem statements, experiment designs, and success metrics.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge‑sharing sessions to maintain high standards of data science practice.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- 0‑2 years of professional experience or internships involving data analysis, statistical modeling, or machine learning.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and SQL; familiarity with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform preferred).
- Strong foundation in probability, statistics, linear algebra, and experimental design.
- Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for continuous learning.

Desired Skills
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Knowledge of version control (Git) and agile development workflows.
- Exposure to A/B testing frameworks and causal inference techniques.
- Understanding of big‑data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Prior contributions to open‑source projects or participation in data‑science competitions (Kaggle, DrivenData).

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $115,000 to $150,000 annually, dependent on experience and location.
