Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities For Legal Assistant
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, NDAs, briefs, and internal memoranda, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files, ensuring timely retrieval and proper confidentiality protocols.
- Conduct basic legal research using internal databases and public resources to gather precedent, statutes, and regulatory information.
- Track and monitor deadlines, filing requirements, and court dates, issuing reminders to attorneys and stakeholders.
- Liaise with internal teams, external counsel, and regulatory agencies to facilitate information flow and resolve inquiries.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and summaries for senior leadership and legal committees.
- Manage billing and invoicing processes, verifying accuracy and ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing administrative support in a corporate legal department or law firm.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, document formatting, and basic procedural rules.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and legal case management software (e.g., Litera, iManage).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
