Key Responsibilities For Personal Finance Coach Assistant

- Support senior Personal Finance Coaches in preparing client onboarding materials, financial assessment questionnaires, and progress reports.
- Conduct preliminary data collection by reviewing members’ budgeting tools, transaction histories, and credit reports under supervision.
- Assist in scheduling and confirming coaching sessions, ensuring timely follow‑up on action items and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, updating client goals, milestones, and outcomes after each interaction.
- Research and curate educational resources, including articles, webinars, and budgeting templates, to complement coaching sessions.
- Help monitor member engagement metrics and prepare weekly performance summaries for the coaching team.
- Respond to routine member inquiries via chat or email, escalating complex issues to senior coaches as needed.
- Participate in continuous learning programs to stay current on personal finance trends, regulatory changes, and SoFi product offerings.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in customer service, financial advising support, or a related role within a fintech or financial services environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret basic financial data and identify patterns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on empathy and clarity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with CRM platforms.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Desired Skills

- Certification or coursework in financial planning, budgeting, or personal finance coaching.
- Experience with budgeting software such as YNAB, Mint, or Personal Capital.
- Knowledge of student loan, mortgage, and investment products.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client workflows simultaneously.
- Demonstrated passion for financial education and member empowerment.

Compensation & Benefits

- Annual base salary range: $62,000 to $85,000, depending on experience and location.
