Key Responsibilities
Key Responsiblities For "Policy Documentation Specialist"
- Draft, edit, and maintain clear, concise, and legally sound policy documents, guidelines, and standard operating procedures for product and content teams.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders—including legal, compliance, engineering, and product management—to gather requirements and ensure policies reflect current regulations and internal standards.
- Conduct thorough research on emerging regulations, industry best practices, and internal policy gaps; translate findings into actionable documentation.
- Manage version control, approval workflows, and publication processes across internal knowledge bases and external compliance portals.
- Provide training and support to teams on policy interpretation, implementation, and updates, ensuring consistent application across the organization.
- Monitor the effectiveness of documented policies, collect feedback, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in audit preparation and respond to regulator inquiries by supplying accurate and up‑to‑date documentation.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CIPP, PMP) preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience creating and managing policy documentation, compliance manuals, or technical writing in a fast‑paced technology environment.
- Strong understanding of data privacy, content moderation, and regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, and COPPA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and consistency.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with legal, engineering, and product teams, translating complex concepts into clear documentation.
- Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, Google Workspace) and version‑control systems.

- Annual base salary range: $105,000 to $145,000, depending on experience and location (San Francisco Bay Area market).
