Key Responsiblities For Policy Research Assistant

- Draft briefing memos, policy briefs, and executive summaries that translate complex research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior policy leaders.
- Support the development of stakeholder engagement strategies by preparing background materials, talking points, and briefing packets for meetings with government officials, NGOs, and industry partners.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments across federal, state, and international jurisdictions, maintaining up‑to‑date trackers and alerts for the team.
- Assist in the design and execution of surveys, interviews, and public consultations to gather qualitative insights from experts and affected communities.
- Manage and organize research databases, ensuring data integrity, proper citation, and compliance with Google’s privacy and security standards.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience conducting policy‑oriented research, analysis, or advocacy, preferably in a technology or consulting environment.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in quantitative methods and qualitative research techniques.
- Excellent written communication abilities, demonstrated through the production of clear, concise, and well‑structured documents for senior audiences.
- Familiarity with major U.S. regulatory frameworks affecting technology companies (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, antitrust statutes).
