Key Responsibilities For Software QA Tester
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web, desktop, and mobile applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing to ensure product quality across all release cycles.
- Identify, document, and track defects using Azure DevOps, providing clear steps to reproduce and collaborating with developers for timely resolution.
- Automate repetitive test scenarios using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Coded UI, and maintain the automation framework.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives, to align testing activities with development timelines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing test processes, suggesting enhancements, and adopting industry best practices.
- Validate compliance with accessibility standards and internationalization requirements where applicable.
- Communicate test results and quality metrics to stakeholders, providing actionable insights to drive product improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience in software quality assurance testing, preferably in a fast‑paced, Agile environment.
- Proficiency in writing and executing manual test cases and a solid understanding of software development life cycles.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA) and defect tracking systems.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical issues to diverse audiences.
Desired Skills
- Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure Pipelines or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured).
- Certification such as ISTQB Foundation Level or higher.
