Key Responsibilities
- Provide real‑time administrative and clinical support to physicians, nurse practitioners, and therapists during virtual visits.
- Verify patient identity, collect and document medical histories, and update electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Schedule follow‑up appointments, coordinate referrals, and facilitate prescription orders through integrated pharmacy portals.
- Conduct pre‑visit intake calls to confirm insurance eligibility, gather vital signs, and address patient questions.
- Assist with triage by flagging urgent symptoms and escalating cases to the appropriate clinical staff.
- Maintain accurate logs of all interactions and generate post‑visit summaries for provider review.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback on workflow efficiencies.

Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in health administration, medical assisting, nursing, or a related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a medical assisting or clinical support role, preferably in a telehealth or remote setting.
- Proficiency with major EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and familiarity with telemedicine platforms.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, medical terminology, and basic clinical workflows.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and empathetic demeanor.
- Reliable high‑speed internet connection and a quiet, private workspace that meets Teladoc’s security standards.

Desired Skills
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Experience using remote patient monitoring tools and mobile health applications.
- Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of concurrent virtual visits.
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes and prior authorization procedures.
- Fluency in a second language (e.g., Spanish) to serve a diverse patient population.

Compensation & Benefits
- Annual base salary range: $58,000 to $78,000, commensurate with experience and location.
